Outplacement Services for Collective Layoffs (CAR)

Outplacement services offered to businesses through a Comité d’aide au reclassement (CAR), or outplacement assistance committee.

Description

In the context of a collective layoff, Quebec’s Act respecting labour standards may require the creation of a Comité d’aide au reclassement (CAR) to support workers affected by the transition.

Objectif Emploi acts as an outplacement service provider for the CAR and the employer.

Our role is to directly support affected workers by offering structured, human, and compliant support that promotes a faster and more sustainable return to the labour market.

The outplacement service is based on a structured five-phase process covering the full career transition journey: individual assessment, group workshops, personalized support, job search support, and a closing assessment with a review of outcomes.

Depending on the size of the collective layoff and the organization’s constraints, support can be offered in different formats, from a targeted and rapid intervention to a more in-depth program.

Beyond legal compliance, Objectif Emploi’s approach helps secure workers’ career paths, reduce the human impact of collective layoffs, and support employers in a responsible process while protecting personal information in accordance with Law 25.
